Tall Ship with Kraken ,Executive Desk Range

Description

Finewood Gallery drew inspiration for this executive desk from the cargo hold of a tall ship. To allow air flow and ensure product arrived in a condition likely to fetch a high price on what ever market it found itself in, the open grid system allows for just that. Complex in nature, taking around 700 passes on the table saw, we were able to take this theme and incorporate it into our “themed style tables’. The ability to peer through the bench top allows the owner to explore the detail that this table offers.

The hand turned legs were bored out to encase electric actuators which enable to user to sit or stand during the day.  The legs are wrapped in what use to be a great fear of any sea traveler, the Kraken or giant squid. The sculpting shows the ability to adapt any scene and incorporate it into an desk. These tentacles erupt from the depths of the ocean to enslave the ship and destroy and drag it to the depths of the ocean. Artis can adapt any artistic work into it’s desk. Modelling, sculpting and painting different themes to suit the clients tastes and interests.
